Raipur, 26 October 2024/President Smt. Draupadi Murmu left for New Delhi by a special plane this evening after her two-day stay in Chhattisgarh. Governor Shri Ramen Deka, Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Saw, MP Raipur Shri Brijmohan Aggarwal and other public representatives, Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain, DGP Shri Ashok Juneja bid him an emotional farewell at Swami Vivekananda Airport in the capital Raipur.
It is noteworthy that President Smt. Draupadi Murmu had come on a two-day visit to Chhattisgarh on 25 and 26 October. During this time she participated in various programs organized in Raipur and Durg districts. Under the chief hospitality of President Smt. Murmu, convocation ceremonies of 04 high level educational institutions were held, which included the convocation ceremony of AIIMS Raipur, NIT Raipur, IIT Bhilai and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Science and AYUSH University Chhattisgarh Nava Raipur.
In a program organized at Purkhauti Muktangan, Nava Raipur, from the hands of President Smt. Murmu, financial assistance amount of Rs 1,000 each was transferred directly into the bank accounts of 70 lakh beneficiary women of Mahtari Vandan Yojana from the Chhattisgarh Government before Diwali. This innovative scheme is being run by the Chhattisgarh government from March 2024 for the empowerment and economic self-reliance of women. This scheme was launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi through a virtual program on March 10, 2024. Under this scheme, so far financial assistance of Rs 5878 crore 37 lakh has been given to the beneficiary women in 9 installments. During this, President Smt. Draupadi Murmu had an intimate discussion with the women beneficiaries of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. On this occasion, he also inaugurated Surguja block in Purkhauti Muktangan.
