A violent incident in the Chhawani police station area has resulted in the death of a man, allegedly at the hands of his younger brother. The suspect used a hatchet in the fatal attack and has since evaded capture. The brothers are believed to have had a history of conflict, and both struggled with alcohol dependency. Authorities have initiated a formal investigation and are actively pursuing the accused.

The dispute, which ultimately led to the tragedy, began like many others, between Rajveer Singh and Mahendra Singh, residents of Subhash Nagar, Nandani Road. The disagreement escalated from verbal sparring to a physical confrontation.

In a moment of escalating violence, Rajveer Singh attacked Mahendra Singh with a hatchet, inflicting multiple head wounds. Mahendra Singh attempted to retaliate with a knife, but he died from his injuries at the location.

After the crime, Rajveer Singh successfully fled the scene. Police, including SP Vijay Agrawal, the Additional SP, and the CSP, along with a team of forensic specialists, are conducting a thorough investigation at the site.
