    Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. Taking immediate action against the Panchayat Secretary, who had done the electoral work in the intoxication of alcohol, RP Chauhan, Chief Executive Officer of the District Panchayat, suspended him. The case is from Khairkhundi village of Bilha block, where Panchayat Secretary Manharan Lal Sande was found in a state of intoxication during the nomination process for the post of Panch and Sarpanch. Taking this matter seriously, the CEO has taken action for suspension.

    According to the information, this incident is on 30 January. When the Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Bilha was inspecting the Panchayat Bhawan Lakharam, during which Panchayat Secretary Sande was found to be intoxicated by liquor. The Panchayat Secretary has been suspended under Chhattisgarh Panchayat Conduct Rules 1998 and Rule 4 (1) of Chhattisgarh Panchayat Service (Discipline and Appeal) Rules 1999. During the suspension, Ashok Kumar Dubey, Panchayat Secretary of Parsahi district panchayat Bilha, has been given additional charge of Gram Panchayat Khairkhundi.
