*Doundi’s Block Education Officer, Jay Singh Bhardwaj, Suspended*
*The Commissioner took action in the matter of serious irregularities in the process of rationalization*
Raipur, June 11, 2025/ The Divisional Commissioner Durg has suspended Jay Singh Bhardwaj, Block Education Officer, Doundi, Balod district, with immediate effect, in the matter of serious irregularities in the process of rationalization of teachers. This action has been taken on the basis of the investigation report of the District Level Rationalization Committee, Balod, in which the matter of serious irregularities committed by the Block Education Officer Doundi in the teacher rationalization process has come to light.
In the preliminary investigation, it was found that the Block Education Officer Doundi had wrongly put many teachers in the surplus category, whereas according to the rules, this should not have happened. Mrs. Rita Grewal, who is currently in the probationary period, was wrongly considered as surplus. Similarly, Mr. Nutan Kumar Sahu was also counted as surplus in such a situation, whereas only one teacher of Mathematics subject is posted in the school. Serious errors were also found in the selection of subjects and teachers in the pre-secondary school Salhe, Dhurwatola and Putterwahi. In all these cases, serious negligence and administrative arbitrariness were shown by Mr. Bhardwaj. As a result, the Divisional Commissioner has suspended him with immediate effect under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1966. During the period of suspension, his headquarters has been fixed as the District Education Officer’s office, Balod.
