‘Digi Yatra’ facility will be available at Raipur airport from tomorrow, air passengers’ face will be the boarding pass…

Nitin Namdev, Raipur. The Civil Aviation Ministry of the Government of India has launched Digi Yatra to make air travel even more convenient. Under this initiative, the identity, travel and other information of passengers will be verified using face biometrics, making air travel paperless and more convenient. Digi Yatra will be launched on Friday, September 6 at 9 airports of the Airports Authority of India, including Raipur Airport.

Let us tell you, Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu will launch Digi Yatra at Visakhapatnam Airport. Whereas at other 8 airports (Bhubaneswar, Coimbatore, Dabolim, Indore, Bagdogra, Ranchi, Patna, Raipur) it will be launched through video conferencing.

Trial done at Raipur Airport

The trial of Digi Yatra facility at Swami Vivekanand Airport Raipur started from 25.06.2024 and currently about 10-13 percent of passengers are taking advantage of this facility.

The process of booking air travel through Digi Yatra is divided into two main parts:

1. One time enrollment through the app.

2. Sharing credentials before your trip.
