Raipur: In the high-profile drug case in Chhattisgarh, all accused, including Navya Malik and Vidhi Agarwal, are scheduled to be presented in court on Monday. The police have so far arrested a total of nine individuals in connection with this case.

Following the completion of their two-day remand, Navya Malik and Vidhi Agarwal were brought before a special court on September 6th. The court subsequently ordered that the two accused be placed in judicial remand until September 15th. The court appearance on Monday will include Navya Malik, Ayan Parvez, Vidhi Agarwal, Rishiraj Tandon, Sohail Khan, Junaid Akhtar, Harsh Ahuja, and Monu Vishnoi, who have all been arrested in connection to the case.

Significant revelations have emerged during questioning. According to police sources, Navya and Vidhi used to frequent Mumbai and Goa on a monthly basis. These trips involved parties attended by young people from affluent backgrounds. They provided details about hotels, resorts, clubs, and farmhouses in Raipur, Nava Raipur, Mandir Hasaud, VIP Road, and Chandkhuri, where these parties took place. Vidhi’s event company, ‘Behind The Scenes,’ organized numerous events, including New Year celebrations, at major venues in Raipur.

The investigation uncovered that these parties would start with groups of 25-30 people, but only about 10-15 would remain after 1 a.m. Drug use and instances of obscene activities were also found to occur at the farmhouses. The accused reportedly had connections with influential individuals, including industrialists, businesspeople, chartered accountants, police officers, and administrative officials, and admitted to partying with them. The police are in possession of mobile phone chats from the accused, which are being used to compile a list of individuals who consumed drugs. These individuals will be called for counseling, and their families will be informed, as many parents are unaware of their children’s activities. The police are also planning to question the owners of the involved farmhouses and clubs.

The police investigation, referred to as ‘Operation Nishchay,’ has been successful. Based on information provided by the arrested Navya and Ayan Parvez, an additional four drug peddlers were apprehended on Thursday. These included Vidhi Agarwal, Rishiraj Tandon, Sohail Khan, and Junaid Akhtar. Vidhi Agarwal and Rishiraj Tandon were key figures as event managers within the city’s party scene. Sohail Khan and Junaid Akhtar are considered close associates of Navya and Ayan. To date, a total of nine accused individuals have been arrested.

Prior to these recent arrests, Harsh Ahuja, Monu Vishnoi, and Deep Dhanoria had been arrested. Authorities seized 27.58 grams of MDMA, 85,300 rupees in cash, a car, and five mobile phones from them. Following this, Navya Malik and Ayan Parvez were also arrested. In the most recent action, four more accused were apprehended. The arrested individuals are currently being questioned by police regarding their connections and the larger network involved. Further inquiries into other suspects are ongoing, based on these linkages.

The initial discovery of this case occurred on August 23, 2025, when a joint operation by the Anti Crime and Cyber Unit and Ganj police station resulted in the stopping of a car near the Devendra Nagar overbridge. Harsh Ahuja (23), a resident of Raipur, Monu Vishnoi (29), from Hisar, Haryana, and Deep Dhanoria (41), of Raipur, were arrested. Police recovered 27.58 grams of MDMA drugs, a Sonet car (CG 04 QJ 5466), 85,300 rupees in cash, and five mobile phones. The total value of the seized property was estimated at approximately 20 lakh rupees. A case was filed at Ganj police station under sections 21(C) and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
