A loving relationship culminated in a decision to marry, however, the girl’s family declined the proposal. The couple, facing this opposition, chose to jump into the Hasdev River from the Anicut. While the male was saved, the female partner is still missing.
Police received information about the incident at the Girwa Ghat. A team of police and divers plunged into the water to help. Despite the perilous conditions and strong water flow, they managed to reach a young man who was struggling.
The man identified as Rahul, a resident of Kashi Nagar, stated that he was in love with a girl from Atal Awas in Maharana Pratap Nagar. The pair had planned to marry, but the girl’s family’s disagreement forced the couple to attempt suicide by jumping into the Hasdev River.
As per Rahul’s statement, the divers have been unable to locate the girl. There is no news of her whereabouts or condition.
