Raipur. Suspended IAS Ranu Sahu and Saumya Chaurasia were presented in the special court of Raipur today in the coal scam case. The court handed over Ranu Sahu and Saumya to the remand of EOW for four days. Let us tell you that EOW had filed a petition in the court for the remand of Ranu and Saumya. EOW will now interrogate the accused on many points.
Let us tell you that the Enforcement Directorate had exposed the alleged coal scam of Rs 540 crore in Chhattisgarh. After this, on July 21, 2023, ED also raided Ranu Sahu’s government house in Devendra Nagar. During this, after about twenty-four hours of investigation, ED arrested IAS Ranu Sahu on the morning of 22 July. After this development, the state government suspended him from the post. Apart from Ranu Sahu, Saumya Chaurasia, Sameer Vishnoi, SS Nag, Suryakant Tiwari have also been arrested in this case. Apart from this, some Congress leaders also came under the purview of investigation. This matter is still going on in the court.
