As a symbol of the spiritual and cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister Sai greeted Ravi Shankar by offering a replica of Nandi, the world’s largest natural Shivalinga – Madheshwar mountain located in Jashpur district and a replica of Nandi built in Bastar art style.
Ravi Shankar informed Chief Minister Sai that this time he has brought with him the remains of the fragmented Shivling of 1000 year old Somnath temple. He said that the remains of this historic Shivling were preserved by a Agnihotri family for centuries. Now they are doing a holy work to spread it to the devotees for the whole country. On this occasion, dignitaries present, including the Chief Minister, visited the fragmented Shivling and expressed faith.
According to the decision taken in the cabinet in the past, there was also a discussion between the Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Ravi Shankar about the MoU between the Government of Chhattisgarh and the Person Development Center India (The Art of Living). The objective of the MoU is related to various aspects of rural development including livelihood creation and the overall welfare of rural Chhattisgarh, which was discussed by both sides about effective implementation.
