Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai has given heartfelt greetings to all the mothers, sisters and daughters of the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day (8 March). He said that this day is an opportunity to honor women’s rights, their empowerment and their important role in society. The state government is fully determined to pursue women in education, health, economic self -reliance and leadership.
Chief Minister Sai said that women’s participation is most important to realize the resolution of developed Chhattisgarh. Keeping this in mind, the government has taken historical initiative like Mahtari Vandan Yojana, due to which millions of women of the state have got economic support and they are moving towards self -reliance. He informed that about 70 lakh mothers and sisters of the state are being given financial assistance of ₹ 12,000 per year, so that they can carry forward their family, health, education and self -employment. This scheme is a big step towards empowerment of women.
CM said that several special provisions have been made in the budget 2025-26 for women, in which there is a provision of 79 crores for 79 crore for 7 working women hostels in the entire state to provide better residential facilities to working women. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the rural economy is being empowered through women self-help groups in Chhattisgarh. Women of these groups are bringing revolution in agriculture, entrepreneurship, cottage industry and cooperative sector today.
Chief Minister Sai said that the Chhattisgarh government is committed to giving women equal opportunities in every field, so that they can become self -sufficient and become partners in the progress of the state and the country. Chief Minister Shri Sai appealed to every person of the society to create an atmosphere of equality, respect and safety to pursue women.
Chief Minister Sai said that only a strong woman can build a strong family, society and nation. He appealed to everyone to make a valuable contribution of their share for the progress of the state and to make the target of strong women, strong society.
