    Informed about the success of the new rehabilitation and surrender policy, said that Bastar’s development is getting a new direction.

    Naxalism in Bastar is in its final stage, discussion with the Home Minister on development and tourism.

    Raipur, March 17, 2025/Naxalism in Bastar, Chhattisgarh is now in its final stage. Peace is returning to Naxal-affected areas due to the government’s strict policies and the effective strategy of the security forces. In this connection, Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence in New Delhi today. This meeting discussed in detail the complete eradication of Naxalism, accelerating the development of Bastar, and promoting tourism and economic activities.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai informed Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah that Naxalism is now in its final stages and the government is taking decisive steps to completely eradicate it. The grip of Naxalite organizations has weakened due to the joint efforts of the state and the center. Now, emphasis is being placed on preparing the final stage strategy and taking Bastar towards lasting peace. He said that the effect of the government’s new Surrender and Rehabilitation Policy-2025 is beginning to show. Recently, a total of 19 Naxalites, including 9 prize-winning Naxalites in Bijapur district, decided to surrender and return to the mainstream. The Naxalites who surrender are being given financial assistance and benefits of rehabilitation schemes by the government, so that they can lead a respectable life in the society. Special attention was given to accelerating development works in Bastar in the meeting.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai informed that the government is strengthening basic facilities like education, health, roads, electricity and water in the region. The Chief Minister said that skill development, self-employment and new employment opportunities are being created to connect the youth of Bastar with the mainstream. The government’s goal is that Bastar should not remain just a land of conflict, but become a new center of peace, development and possibilities. The meeting also discussed in detail the plans to promote tourism to give national and international recognition to Bastar’s rich cultural and natural beauty.
