Following instructions from Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the facilities at Raigarh Medical College Hospital have been expanded.

The Ayushman Yojana room has been expanded; IPD patients no longer need to get separate slips, and suggestion boxes have been installed for feedback.

Raipur, January 1, 2025/ Continuous expansion of medical facilities available to ordinary citizens in government hospitals is being carried out under the initiative of Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai. In line with the directions of Health Minister Shri Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, efforts are being made to ensure that medical facilities are easily and readily available to everyone at the start of the new year. On January 1, 2025, rooms were inaugurated on all floors for the Shahid Veer Narayan Singh Ayushman Health Yojana facility at the Late Shri Lakhiram Agrawal Smriti Government Medical College affiliated Sant Baba Guru Ghasidas Ji Smriti Government Hospital, Raigarh. The Finance Minister and local MLA of Raigarh, Shri O.P. Choudhary, welcomed this initiative to facilitate the easy availability of healthcare services.

According to the Dean of Raigarh Medical College, Dr. Vinit Kumar Jain, and the Hospital Superintendent, Dr. M.K. Minj, this expansion of facilities will greatly benefit hospitalized patients and their families. This will avoid unnecessary crowds and queues, saving time. Previously, this facility was only available near the MRD registration OPD counter. According to Hospital Superintendent Dr. M.K. Minj, with the expansion of the Ayushman Yojana room, the hospital now does not require separate test slips for OPD and IPD patients. All tests are completely free. Apart from the Rs 10 registration slip for OPD and the Rs 85 slip for IPD patients, no separate slip is required. Orders have also been issued in this regard.

Along with this, a suggestion and complaint box has been installed in the hospital as a new initiative. Additionally, daily feedback is being taken from inpatients regarding their treatment by medical social workers and vocational counselors. Letters and feedback received in the suggestion and complaint box will be placed before a committee by the hospital management for resolution.
