Raipur, August 4, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, welcoming the decision of the Central Government to reduce the prices of 37 essential medicines by 10 to 15 percent, has expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that a healthy India is the foundation of a developed India. This decision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is a strong expression of his visionary and public welfare leadership. This decision will provide great relief to citizens suffering from common but serious diseases like heart disease, diabetes, infection, fever and pain.
He said that with this price cut, life-saving drugs like paracetamol, atorvastatin, amoxicillin will now become more accessible and affordable. In a state like Chhattisgarh, which is dominated by tribals and rural areas, this decision will prove to be very beneficial for the health of the poor, laborers, farmers, women and the elderly.
Chief Minister Shri Sai also mentioned that the Chhattisgarh government is continuously striving to ensure the expansion of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana centers, effective implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana and easy availability of health services from primary to higher levels.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the decision of the Central Government is not only to reduce the price of medicines, but also a step to empower the living standards of the common people.
