Notice to blacklist contractor
Order issued by the Housing Board Commissioner on the instructions of the Housing and Environment Minister
Raipur, January 17, 2025/ Housing and Environment Minister Shri O P Choudhary has said that the Chhattisgarh government under Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai is pursuing a policy of zero tolerance towards corruption. Quality will be ensured in construction work and no irregularities of any kind will be tolerated in administrative work. Strict action is being taken against irregularities found in government work in the interest of good governance.
The Executive Engineer Shri C. K. Thakur and Assistant Engineer Shri Neeraj Thakur of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Jagdalpur, have been immediately suspended after irregularities were found in construction work.
On the instructions of Finance Minister Shri Choudhary, the Commissioner of the Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Shri Kundan Kumar, issued suspension orders for the Executive Engineer and Assistant Engineer and also issued a notice to blacklist Messers N. K. Construction, Durg, a contractor associated with the Housing Board’s construction work in Jagdalpur.
It is noteworthy that following complaints about the construction of GAD residential buildings in Bhairmgarh, Bhopalpatnam, and Usar (Awapalli) blocks of Bijapur district, an investigation was conducted at the headquarters level. The investigation revealed financial irregularities and delays in work, following which a notice has been issued to cancel the registration of the contractor, Messers N. K. Construction, Durg. It was also revealed that Messers N. K. Construction was paid more than the actual work done during the previous government. The contractor was also paid for work that was not even carried out.
