    Raipur, June 09, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today visited the residence of martyr ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje in Raipur, the capital, who was martyred in an IED blast by Naxalites in Konta, Sukma district, and paid tribute by offering a floral wreath on his mortal remains. Chief Minister Shri Sai met the bereaved family members of martyr ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje, expressed his condolences and consoled them. He said that martyr ASP Shri Akash Rao Girpunje made the supreme sacrifice while showing indomitable courage, loyalty and dedication towards his duty. We are proud of them. The government stands with his family in this hour of grief. Forest Minister Shri Kedar Kashyap and Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Shri Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Additional Director General of Police Naxal Operation Shri Vivekananda Sinha, who reached with the Chief Minister, also paid tribute to martyr Shri Girpunje.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, taking note of the Naxal incident in Konta, Sukma today, postponed his proposed visit to Rajnandgaon and took information about the incident in a high-level meeting of senior officials of the Home Department in his office room located in Mahanadi Bhawan, the secretariat. Chief Minister Shri Sai took information from the officials about the IED blast by Naxalites in Konta, Sukma district and reviewed the Naxal operations. He directed to ensure all necessary arrangements to provide proper treatment to the injured jawans expeditiously.

    Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Shri Manoj Pingua, Director General of Police, Shri Arun Dev Gautam, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Shri Subodh Kumar Singh, Additional Director General of Police Naxal Operation Shri Vivekananda Sinha, Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat were present in the meeting.

    Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai today met the injured jawans in the IED blast by Naxalites in Konta, Sukma district at Ramakrishna Care Hospital in Raipur, the capital. Chief Minister Shri Sai inquired about the well-being of the injured jawans and wished them a speedy recovery. He directed the doctors to provide better treatment to the injured jawans.
