    Raipur January 22, 2026/Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai described the severe explosion incident at the sponge iron factory located in Bakulahi, Balodabazar district, as extremely tragic and heartbreaking. In this painful accident, 6 workers lost their lives prematurely, while 5 workers were critically injured and have been referred to Bilaspur for better and higher-level treatment.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai expressed deep condolences to the families of the workers who lost their lives in this accident, stating that the state government stands with the affected families with full sensitivity and strength during this difficult time. He assured that all possible assistance would be provided to the bereaved families.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai has instructed the district administration to ensure that there is no deficiency in the treatment of the injured and that they are provided with the best medical facilities. Furthermore, clear instructions have been given to ensure a factual investigation into the causes of the accident, so that such incidents can be prevented from recurring in the future.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai said that the safety of workers is the highest priority for the state government, and any negligence in adhering to safety standards in industrial units will not be tolerated.
