Raipur, August 16, 2025/ Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai paid homage to former Prime Minister Bharat Ratna late Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the occasion of his death anniversary by garlanding his portrait at the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said on this occasion that the revered late Atal Ji is the creator of our state. Atal Ji had a special attachment to Chhattisgarh. He respected the sentiments of the people of the state by giving the geographical area of Chhattisgarh the form of a new state, for which he will always be remembered. He was a man of multifaceted talent. He made his mark as a journalist, poet and politician. Whether it was the Prime Minister of India or the Foreign Minister—in every role, he left an indelible mark of India on the global stage. During his prime ministership, many such schemes were implemented, which changed the picture of rural India. Especially, laying a network of roads in rural areas, providing facilities to farmers, and the formation of the Tribal Department were historic works. Revered late Atal Ji is still alive in the memories of every citizen of India.
Shri Sai said that he was such a politician who received the affection of everyone, rising above party politics. Atal Ji was dedicated throughout his life to the fame and prestige of Maa Bharti. The Chief Minister said that many memories of late Atal Ji are associated with him, which inspire him continuously. He said that Atal Ji was a man of the era, who gave the mantra of good governance and today we are ensuring the development of Chhattisgarh by moving forward on the same path. Along with this, we are celebrating this entire year as Atal Nirman Year and many programs are being organized throughout the year in this regard.
