    Raigarh district in Chhattisgarh received a boost with the inauguration and foundation laying of development projects worth ₹62.36 crore, spearheaded by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The announcement came a day before Independence Day, marking a significant investment in the region’s infrastructure.

    The projects included the completion of 45 initiatives, amounting to ₹42.99 crore, alongside the groundbreaking of 70 new projects, valued at ₹19.36 crore. These developments span various sectors, aiming to improve the quality of life for the residents of Raigarh.

    Among the notable inaugurations were key infrastructure projects. A bridge over the Bhengari Nala on the Panikhet-Aedukala road in Dharamjaigarh, which cost ₹5.25 crore, was opened to the public. Similarly, a bridge over the Kharun River on the Pakargaon road in Lailunga, costing ₹6.39 crore, was completed. Further advancements were made in the provision of essential services, with a single-village piped water supply scheme implemented across Kharsia, Lailunga, and Dharamjaigarh, representing an investment of ₹28.53 crore.

    Furthermore, the Chief Minister oversaw the opening of primary health centers, including those in Bahirkela, Dharamjaigarh, and Lamdand, Lailunga, each with an investment of ₹75 lakh. The inauguration also covered the construction of community buildings in Konpara, Ghargoda, costing ₹7 lakh. The CSPDCL 33/11 kV, 3.15 MVA project at the Khadgaon sub-center in Dharamjaigarh was also completed at a cost of ₹1.25 crore.

    In terms of new projects, foundations were laid for Po.Mai. Tribal Boys’ Hostels at seven locations, including Dhaurabhatha, Tamnar, Lailunga, Ghatgaon, Gharghoda, Bakaruma, and Dharamjaigarh, totaling ₹13.28 crore. These efforts seek to provide enhanced educational facilities.

    Moreover, the Chief Minister initiated projects such as watchtowers, patrolling camps, and other essential constructions. The groundwork included the construction of a watchtower at the RF room number 643 in Dharamjaigarh, costing ₹20.33 lakh, and a patrolling camp at room number 11 RF Kumarta for ₹10.88 lakh. Additional developments included the construction of various infrastructure components such as culverts, CC roads, footways, and community buildings, alongside renovations in existing health centers, signaling a comprehensive approach to regional development.
