Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai attended the annual general meeting of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association held at the Circuit House auditorium in the capital Raipur today. During this, the meeting discussed the approval of the audit report of the year 2024-25, presentation and approval of the annual budget of the year 2025-26, appointment of auditors for the year 2025-26 and other important agenda.

President of Chhattisgarh Olympic Association and Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai made a big announcement while addressing the program. He said that now participants from Chhattisgarh participating in the Olympics will be given an incentive of Rs 21 lakh. Shri Sai said that there is no shortage of sports talents in Chhattisgarh. Our government is constantly striving to recognize and refine these talents. We have restarted the previously closed sports award ceremony and the outstanding player award ceremony will also be started soon.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that new sports complexes of Khelo India have been started in Chhattisgarh. A few months ago, Union Sports Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya also visited Chhattisgarh, where we had a detailed discussion with him regarding the expansion of sports infrastructure. We have made special preparations to encourage the players, especially regarding the Olympic Games. It has been decided to give three crore rupees to the gold medal winners, two crore rupees to the silver medal winners and one crore rupees to the bronze medal winners of the state in the Olympic Games. Naturally, this will boost the morale of the players.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that our government is trying to increase the sports budget and also encourage the participation of the corporate sector.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in the year 2036, our successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji has proposed India’s hosting of the Olympic Games and the city of Ahmedabad has been proposed for this. Naturally, the central government’s full attention is on strengthening the sports system in the country so that within a decade we can emerge as a superpower in the field of sports. Similarly, in Chhattisgarh also, we will have to make collective efforts for the organization of national level sports.

Cabinet Minister and Vice President of the Sangh Shri Kedar Kashyap, while addressing the program, said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, sports competitions like Bastar Olympic have started, which has provided a golden platform to the sports talents of the remote forest areas.

On this occasion, the secretary’s report was read out by General Secretary Shri Vikram Sisodia. Vice President Shri Himanshu Dwivedi, Shri Gajaraj Pagaria and Treasurer Shri Sanjay Mishra, along with officials and members associated with the sports association were present in large numbers at the program.
