    Arrival of prestigious trophy in the state is inspiring for young players: Chief Minister Mr. Sai

    Raipur, November 18, 2025/Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh today unveiled the prestigious FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025 trophy from the Assembly premises. Union Minister of State Mr. Tokhan Sahu, state cabinet minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap, and Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao were also present at the event. It is noteworthy that the glittering trophy of the world’s prestigious FIH Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup 2025 reached Chhattisgarh today for the first time as part of the India Tour, and it was unveiled in a grand ceremony organized on the Assembly premises.

    Chief Minister Mr. Sai said on this occasion that it is a matter of great pride that India is hosting the FIH Junior World Cup 2025, and the arrival of this trophy in Chhattisgarh is an occasion of special honor for the state. Expressing gratitude to Hockey India, he said that the trophy tour is an important effort to promote enthusiasm and inspiration for sports across the country.

    He said that the launch of this campaign by Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya is a step that will provide new energy to the spirit of sports in the country.

    Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh has been a fertile land for hockey since its inception. A large number of children from districts like Rajnandgaon, Bastar, Jashpur, Surguja, Raipur, Bilaspur, and Korba are building their future in the game of hockey. The arrival of the trophy here will be inspiring for the young players of the state. He said that the state government is committed to expanding sports infrastructure, strengthening training facilities, and promoting emerging talents. Mr. Sai said that this trophy is a symbol of the hard work, discipline, and dreams of the world’s best players. The Chief Minister also congratulated and extended best wishes to Hockey India, Chhattisgarh Olympic Association, and Chhattisgarh Hockey on this occasion.

    On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh congratulated the officials and players of the Chhattisgarh Olympic Association and Chhattisgarh Hockey for the grand unveiling of the trophy. Chhattisgarh Olympic Association Secretary General Vikram Sisodia, other officials of the association, representatives of the hockey organization, and a large number of players were present on this occasion.

    India will host the Junior World Cup for the first time

    It is noteworthy that India is hosting the FIH Hockey Junior Men’s World Cup 2025 for the first time. The competition will run from November 28 to December 10 and will be held in Chennai and Madurai, Tamil Nadu.
