Raipur’s Town Hall is currently the venue for a vibrant photo exhibition and quiz, drawing crowds as part of Chhattisgarh’s silver jubilee celebrations in 2025. The exhibition, organized by the state’s Public Relations Department, showcases the rich heritage and historical significance of the state.

The exhibition features a diverse array of photographs, providing a glimpse into Chhattisgarh’s traditions, its involvement in the freedom movement, and its journey of development since its formation. Interactive digital displays, including slideshows, enhance the visitor experience.

Public welfare schemes are also highlighted, including information on the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Krishi Unnati Yojana, and Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Details about the state’s first Tribal Museum and other initiatives aimed at fostering progress are also available for viewing.

The exhibition, which is open to the public free of charge from 10:30 AM to 8 PM until August 21, was inaugurated by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. The event focuses on the lives and contributions of Chhattisgarh’s freedom fighters and is attracting a large number of visitors, including students and local residents, who are expressing their appreciation.

A quiz competition is an integral part of the event, designed to engage children with Chhattisgarh’s history and general knowledge. Students from various schools and hostels across Raipur are actively participating and answering questions related to the state’s heritage.

Silky Dhruv, a 12th-grade student, expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to attend such an event, which provided her with valuable insights into the contributions of Chhattisgarh’s freedom fighters and its history. Lokesh Patre, an 8th-grade student, mentioned that this was his first quiz competition, and he was thrilled to win a prize, overcoming his stage fright. Yogesh Dewangan, the superintendent of a residential hostel, emphasized the importance of such events in educating the younger generation about Chhattisgarh’s history and the sacrifices of its heroes, highlighting the educational value of the photo exhibition and quiz.
