Chhattisgarh is on an upward trajectory of development and self-assurance, according to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who recently visited Nava Raipur to mark the state’s silver jubilee and inaugurate a series of game-changing projects. Worth over Rs 14,260 crore, these initiatives span vital areas such as road infrastructure, industrial growth, healthcare facilities, and energy solutions, promising to reshape the state’s future.

Speaking at a public event, PM Modi celebrated the extensive progress Chhattisgarh has made over its 25 years of existence. He emphasized the government’s dedication to improving citizens’ lives, citing the widespread electrification and internet penetration in villages as key successes. The Prime Minister also noted the success of the Ujjwala Yojana in bringing clean cooking fuel to marginalized communities, with aspirations to extend piped gas services to rural areas.

A substantial improvement in rural connectivity was highlighted, with the Prime Minister pointing out that Chhattisgarh’s road network has grown to 40,000 km since its formation, drastically enhancing access to remote regions.

In terms of housing, PM Modi presided over the inauguration of 3.51 lakh completed homes, a part of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Additionally, funds amounting to Rs 1,200 crore were released for 3 lakh beneficiaries under the rural housing scheme, ensuring better living standards.

Commemorating the state’s heritage, the Prime Minister unveiled a statue of the valiant Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh and inaugurated a memorial museum. The new Vidhansabha building, a model of sustainable design featuring solar power and rainwater harvesting, was also officially opened, representing a blend of tradition and modern, eco-friendly governance.
