Authorities in Mungeli, Chhattisgarh, have detained a village head following allegations of sexual harassment and threats made against a woman. The complainant stated that the village head, after making sexual demands, also threatened her life when she refused. Details indicate that a woman from Jagtakapa village reported the incident to the police on August 31, 2025. The woman reported that on August 30, around 6 p.m., she was home alone when Indal Gond, the village head, under the influence of alcohol, entered her home. He engaged in inappropriate behavior and requested sexual favors. Upon her refusal, she was threatened with violence. The police, under the guidance of Police Superintendent Bhojram Patel, took the matter seriously, leading to the arrest and imprisonment of 55-year-old Indal Gond.
