SSP Jashpur, Shashi Mohan Singh, formed a police team and dispatched them to Telangana to locate the accused woman and the minor boy. The police team recovered the minor boy from the woman in the Medchal Malkajgiri district and took the woman into custody. During interrogation, the minor boy revealed that the woman had lured him away by promising marriage and taken him to Telangana. During this time, the woman had engaged in sexual relations with the minor. The police also conducted a medical examination of the accused and the minor victim. Upon finding that the woman had engaged in sexual relations with the minor victim, the police added 6 POSCO Act charges to the case. The woman confessed to the crime and was arrested and sent to judicial remand.
