A significant clash has taken place in the Chhattisgarh’s tribal belt, where police forces engaged in a firefight with Naxal insurgents. The operation was a joint effort of DRG and BSF, initiated upon receiving intelligence about the presence of high-level Naxal leadership. The confrontation occurred in the Koyalibeda police station area. While the Naxals evaded capture, security forces were able to seize a large amount of arms and Naxal-related supplies from the site. A thorough search of the area is underway. The clash follows a successful operation the previous day on the Abujhmad-Maharashtra border, where the forces neutralized two members of the Naxal Central Committee. These included the spokesperson Vikalp (Ramchandra), and Kosa (Sudhakar Reddy).
