In Raipur, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai addressed the ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ conclave hosted by News18 Madhya Pradesh-Chhattisgarh. The event served as a platform to discuss the state’s development, governance and citizen welfare programs. The Chief Minister declared that his government is actively working to expedite inclusive development in Chhattisgarh.

He acknowledged the unprecedented support received from the state’s residents, enabling the government to commence its work immediately. A significant step was the approval of 18 lakh houses under the Prime Minister Awas Yojana in the initial cabinet meeting, allowing numerous families to move into their new homes. Moreover, the government made a historic decision in the agricultural sector by initiating the procurement of paddy at a rate of ₹3100 per quintal, including the arrears owed to farmers over two years.

Under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana, 70 lakh women across the state are receiving monthly assistance of ₹1000. The Chief Minister also highlighted the various initiatives supporting tribal empowerment, including the distribution of Charan Paduka, bonuses for tendu leaf collectors, and the Teerth Darshan Yojana, which offers religious pilgrimage opportunities to those in need.

He also stated the government’s commitment to bringing banking facilities to the panchayats. Atal Digital Centers have been established in 1460 gram panchayats with plans for expansion to all panchayats. Additionally, the construction of Ready to Eat products has been reassigned to women’s self-help groups.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the government’s dedication to the Naxal-free India campaign, aligned with the central government’s target of March 31, 2026. Development activities in villages are being accelerated through the Niyad Nellar scheme. The commitment of the ‘double engine’ government is crucial for these positive transformations.

The ‘Rising Chhattisgarh’ conclave featured insightful sessions focusing on Chhattisgarh’s prospects, accomplishments and future strategic direction. It provided a vital forum for conversations about governance, empowerment, and innovation, effectively highlighting Chhattisgarh’s vision on a national level. The event was also attended by Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Agriculture Minister Dr. Ramvichar Netam.
