    An Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Akash Rao Giripunje, has been killed in an IED blast in the Sukma district of Chhattisgarh. The incident also resulted in injuries to other police officers. The blast took place near Dondra village. The police were conducting a patrol in light of the Bharat Bandh called by CPI(M). The injured have been taken to Konta Hospital for treatment. The Deputy CM, Vijay Shamra, expressed his condolences, remembering ASP Giripunje’s bravery. This attack showcases the ongoing challenges that security forces face due to Naxal violence in Chhattisgarh, with intensified search operations underway.
