Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai convened a meeting with district collectors and divisional commissioners to assess the progress of government schemes and to issue directives aimed at improving governance and citizen services. The video conference, held from the Mahanadi Bhawan Ministry, involved a detailed review of development initiatives across all districts. The Chief Minister conducted a thorough district-wise examination of various land-related cases, including name changes, property divisions, record maintenance, and land acquisition procedures. He emphasized the need to reduce the frequency of hearings to minimize the financial burden and time commitment for the public. Officials were instructed to ensure the swift resolution of cases, aiming to uphold public trust in the government’s operations. Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Subodh Kumar Singh, directed that all revenue cases be registered in e-Courts to facilitate efficient monitoring and tracking, in addition to promoting the diligent maintenance of records. The Chief Minister highlighted the importance of land acquisition for critical infrastructure projects, directing collectors to expedite the processes for national highways. Priority was given to the expeditious resolution of pending land acquisition and compensation distribution cases. In the Bastar division, special emphasis was placed on completing land acquisition and compensation related to infrastructure projects, including roads, railways, and mobile towers. The Chief Minister emphasized the state government’s dedication to promoting transparency and accountability within the revenue administration. He stressed that timely and equitable justice is paramount for effective governance, instructing all officials to ensure the prompt resolution of cases. The Chief Minister also emphasized the need to accelerate the farmer registration process and to ensure the timely and thorough completion of digital crop surveys. The meeting also addressed the upcoming 25th-anniversary celebrations of Chhattisgarh’s formation, which will be marked by a 25-week long silver jubilee celebration commencing on August 15. Collectors were instructed to organize public engagement events and promote them widely. As part of the celebrations, a Seva Pakhwada (Service Fortnight) will be observed from September 17th to October 2nd, featuring public service initiatives. Senior government officials were present at the meeting, including the Chief Secretary and other departmental heads.
