A major initiative by the Chhattisgarh government will see ₹41.3258 crore invested in the Kosarteda Medium Irrigation Project in Bastar district. This funding will be used to renovate the main canal, specifically the 0 to 24 km section. The project, approved at May 1, 2025 rates, aims to increase water availability for farmers by restoring the canal’s irrigation capacity. The current actual usage is less than the designed capacity, and the renovation is expected to rectify this.
