In a tragic incident from Balodabazar-Bhatapara, a 14-year-old girl has been arrested for the murder of a man. The victim had repeatedly reprimanded the girl about her mobile phone usage, which led to a fatal confrontation. The girl used a ‘tangiya’ to attack the man, causing his death. The incident took place on August 12th in Amera village, and the police were alerted about a man found murdered in his home, with injuries to his head and face. The deceased was identified as Purushottam Yadav. A case was registered at Palari police station, and the investigation started under Section 103(1) BNS. SP Bhavna Gupta ordered a detailed investigation, with the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) examining the scene. Police questioned various individuals, including neighbors and relatives. The 14-year-old girl was interviewed and initially gave inconsistent statements. Through psychological questioning, she admitted to the murder of Purushottam Yadav. The girl explained that the victim consistently objected to her use of a mobile phone, which led to her anger and ultimately, the use of the ‘tangiya’. The minor was apprehended and presented before the court.
