Chhattisgarh, long celebrated for its abundant natural resources, is now carving a bold new identity in knowledge, technology, and innovation. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai made this declaration during a key event at his residence office, following the signing of a pivotal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the state’s Electronics and IT Department and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI).

The CM emphasized that his government is relentlessly pushing Chhattisgarh to the forefront of tech-driven progress. With cutting-edge infrastructure, robust e-governance systems, and investor-friendly policies, the state is fast becoming a prime destination for IT, ITES, and emerging technology industries.

This strategic MoU paves the way for establishing a Center of Entrepreneurship (CoE) and an Electronics System Design and Development (ESDD) Center within the state. These initiatives aim to nurture entrepreneurial spirit among the youth, offering world-class opportunities right at home in sectors like IT and ITES.

The CoE will focus on groundbreaking areas such as Artificial Intelligence, medtech based on forests and medicinal products, smart city solutions, and smart agriculture. Meanwhile, the ESDD Center will support 30 to 40 hardware startups and MSMEs annually through product design, prototyping, skill development, and capacity building.

Highlighting STPI’s vast network of 68 centers and 24 sector-specific CoEs nationwide, Sai noted that this partnership will catapult Chhattisgarh’s startup and innovation ecosystem to unprecedented heights. He expressed firm confidence that this collaboration marks a milestone in the state’s economic growth, positioning Chhattisgarh prominently on India’s digital innovation map.

The event saw the presence of key officials, including Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Electronics and Technology Department Ankit Anand, STPI Director Ravi Verma, and CHiPS CEO Prabhath Malik.
