As part of a one-day visit, Sachin Pilot, the national general secretary of the Congress and the in-charge of the Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee, has arrived in Chhattisgarh. The visit includes a planned meeting with Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, at the Central Jail. Chaitanya Baghel is under investigation for money laundering linked to the alleged liquor scam, and was apprehended by the Enforcement Directorate on July 18th. After being questioned for five days, he was later placed in judicial custody for a 14-day period.
