Vishnu Deo Sai, the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, has championed the cause of blood donation, recognizing its significance in saving lives. At an event in Jashpur district organized by the Indian Red Cross Society, he applauded the community’s engagement in voluntary blood donation drives and health awareness initiatives. He emphasized the state government’s dedication to improving healthcare services. The recent launch of ambulance services was cited as an example of the government’s commitment. A significant announcement was the release of the Blood-Friend Directory, a collaborative effort between the district administration and the Red Cross Society. The directory lists contact information of 480 voluntary blood donors, simplifying the process for patients seeking blood transfusions. The directory aims to connect those in need with readily available blood resources.
