    An IED blast in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district resulted in the death of ASP Akash Rao Giripunje and injuries to several other police officers. The explosion occurred near Dondra village. The incident happened when police were on patrol due to a bandh called by Naxalites. The injured were taken to Konta hospital. ASP Giripunje was on foot patrol to prevent any incidents. Deputy CM Vijay Shamra expressed his grief over the incident, recognizing ASP Giripunje’s bravery. The incident highlights ongoing challenges to security forces in the region. Additional search and rescue operations are now underway following the blast.
