Chhattisgarh: ACB/EOW raided 21 places, many electronic devices including Rs 19 lakh cash seized

Raipur. In Chhattisgarh, ACB/EOW conducted a swift raid in the excise case. EOW raided 21 places, in which cash worth Rs 19 lakh was recovered. Many electronic devices have also been seized.

In the excise case, ACB/EOW conducted raids and searches at 09 places in Raipur, 07 in Durg-Bhilai, 01 in Rajnandgaon, 04 in Bilaspur, thus a total of 21 places were searched. During the search, about Rs 19 lakh in cash, electronic devices like laptop, pen drive, bank statements, documents related to movable and immovable property, jewelery worth crores, investments worth crores in banks and other important documents have also been recovered, which are being examined. It is being told that these documents include documents related to general investment of illegal property acquired from excise and layering, unsecured loans and investment through shell companies.

According to the information, apart from Pappu Dhillon, Vijay Bhatia from Durg Khursipar, action was taken against the locations of liquor and coal traders in Devendra Nagar, Sadar Bazaar and Pandari in Raipur. More than 30 officers from across the state are said to be involved in the raid.
