On Monday, both the accused were produced in the special court. During the hearing in the case, the prosecution told the court that inputs of involvement of some more people have been found in the investigation, who are to be arrested. The matter is under investigation at this time. In view of this, he requested to increase judicial remand. Which the special judge accepted and increased the remand of both the accused till 28 February.

The Central GST team raided the Messrs World of Beauty on Station Road, Durg on 28-29 January. During the search, a bribe of Rs 34 lakh was demanded from the operator Lalchand Athawani when the disturbances were caught. During this time, a person had to mediate the whole matter and got the whole matter to be confused. On receiving the information of the transaction, the CBI team laid a trap and arrested the driver Vinay Rai, taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh near the currency tower on VIP Road on the evening of 31 January. After Vinay Rai, the team arrested Superintendent Bharat Singh. On the basis of the information received during this time, the CBI team raided the CGST office. Both were taken on remand for questioning when the names of mediator and some other people surfaced in the interrogation.
