Raipur. The capital police has taken major action against cattle smuggling. A large number of vehicles being illegally transported cattle have been caught by the police by blocking them. In this action, the police have arrested 4 accused, including an interstate accused. At the same time, 11 cattle and one Ashok Leyland vehicle (CG 04 NP 9077) have been seized from the possession of the accused. This is the matter of the police station area.
According to the information, on February 19, the police had received information that some people are coming towards Mana by filling the cattle in a four -wheeler. On the instructions of senior officials, the blockade was done near the Temri Signal. When the police team stopped the suspected vehicle and investigated, it was found that the put behind the vehicle was covered with tarpaulin. When the tarpaulin was removed, 11 cattle were filled in it. The police asked the four persons in the vehicle to ask for valid documents related to the transport of cattle, but the accused started misleading the police and could not present any documents. After this, the police arrested the four and took legal action against them.
A case has been registered against the accused under Section 11 (1) Division Prevention of Animals Act 1960 in Mana police station. Also, action has been taken under restrictive sections.
