Jagdalpur Voting for urban body elections in Chhattisgarh is to be held on February 11. The nomination process for the post of Mayor and Councilor has started from 21 January. Meanwhile, a shocking incident occurred in Jagdalpur Corporation. Here, Rohit Singh Arya, an independent candidate who came to fill the nomination form for the post of Mayor, deposited the fee of the form by giving 20 thousand coins of 1 rupee, which was lost by everyone. Rohit Arya has deposited the nomination form fee in a packet filled with 20 coins of one thousand each, which took the election workers 5 to 6 hours to count.
When the independent candidate was asked why they wanted to pay the fees of the farm from the coins, their answer was even more shocking. He said that he is associated with a social group called a public voice. This group had launched a campaign in the city under the name of ‘1 rupee-1 vote’, in which 20 thousand coins have been collected. He further said that we did not want to change the blessings of the people given as 1 rupee, so they have brought the same coins to buy nomination form.
