A cabinet meeting will be held today at Mantralaya in Nava Raipur under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai. This meeting will start from 11 am and decisions are likely to be taken on many important issues. Mainly the date of paddy procurement will be discussed, in which it can be considered to start paddy procurement from November 15. Along with this, a decision can also be taken in the cabinet on taking loan required for purchasing paddy.
A new industrial policy can also be approved in the meeting, which will try to promote industrial development in the state. Apart from this, preparations for Rajyotsav are also expected to be discussed. The cabinet can also consider holding the urban body and panchayat elections simultaneously, while some important decisions can also be taken in the context of the upcoming body elections.
Names will be added to the voter list for municipal elections from today
The preliminary publication of the voter list for local urban body elections in the state will be done on October 16. Chhattisgarh State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh has directed all the district election officers of the state to ensure all actions as per the program issued by the Commission for preparing the electoral roll. Elections are to be held in 167 urban bodies of the state. The Commission has instructed all the District Election Officers to complete the voter list accurately and within the prescribed time limit and to add the names of those who have completed 18 years of age by January 01, 2024, to the voter list.
All India Forest Sports Competition from today
The 27th All India Forest Sports Competition will start from today at Kota Stadium in Raipur, which will continue till October 20. This competition will be inaugurated by Indian T-20 cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav. Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will also participate in the program. Olympic medalist shooter Manu Bhaker will attend the closing ceremony as a special guest. More than 3000 participants will take part in this prestigious competition, who will showcase their talent in various sports.
The objective of the competition is to increase awareness about the protection of forests and conservation of wild animals, as well as to promote sportsmanship among the employees and officers of the Forest Department.
