CG Crime News: Elderly murdered on suspicion of witchcraft, 6 accused including nephew arrested

Kanker. A case of murder of an elderly man on suspicion of witchcraft has come to light from Banskund village of Korar police station area of ​​the district. After the death of the elderly, the police investigated the case and arrested 6 accused. The accused suspected that the old man had taken their father’s life by practicing witchcraft. Due to this suspicion, the accused planned and killed the old man. In this case, in addition to Section 103 (1), the police have taken action against the accused separately under Section 238, 61 (2), 3 (5) of BNS. According to the information, on October 14, the blood-soaked body of 70-year-old Suganuram Usendi, father – late Sannuram Usendi (deceased), resident of Sakin, Banskund, was found near the Para sports ground of the village school. There were many injury marks on the body of the deceased. On the basis of investigation and postmortem report, the police registered a case of murder and started investigating the case.

3 friends were suspicious of the old man regarding the death of their respective fathers.

During investigation, the police found that the deceased used to work as an exorcist. The father of the deceased’s nephew Ranjit Usendi died three years ago due to illness while building a house. Similarly, Ranjit Usendi’s classmate Prakash Darro and Sunil Uike’s father also died after falling from a tree. In this way, the three Baiga workers started suspecting Suganuram Usendi (deceased) regarding the sudden death of their father. All three believed that the old man had taken the life of their father by using witchcraft.

All three planned murder on suspicion of witchcraft

Since the farms of Ranjit Usendi and Prakash Darro were nearby, both of them met four days before the murder of Baiga Suganuram Usendi and planned the murder. Both of them also included Sunil in their plan. Now Ranjit, Sunil and Prakash all three together planned to kill Suganuram on Saturday or Sunday.

3 other accused also involved in the murder case

On Saturday, when Prakash and Sunil went to the house of deceased Suganuram, the elderly Baiga was not at home. Then the accused had a liquor-chicken party at Sunil Uike’s house near Shitala Mandir (sports ground). Sunil Uike and his two real brothers Jagdish and Amit were also present in the party. Apart from them, Kaushal Markam, Tuleshwar, Sunaram, Jansig passes were also visited. But Tuleshwar, Sunaram, Jansig Darro left the party early. Now only Sunil, Prakash, Amit, Jagdish and Kaushal were there in the house. The same evening, Ranjeet called Sunil and told him that Suganuram (deceased) was going towards his home from near Shitala temple. During this time, Ranjeet called all his friends with a plan to murder the old man. After this, Sunil, Prakash and Ranjeet together stopped the old man there, made him bleed with sharp weapons and bamboo sticks, beat him and ran away from there. The old man became unconscious due to heavy beating.

Elderly man brutally beaten to death

Ranjeet ran away from the incident site and went to his home and Sunil and Prakash reached the rest of their friends at the party going on at Sunil’s house and informed about the incident. After which the five friends together again reached Suganuram and again beat him mercilessly and killed him. After the death of the old man, the accused picked up the dead body and threw it on the side of the road. Police have seized the axe, bamboo sticks and blood stained clothes used in the murder from the accused and arrested the accused.
