Raipur. Congress has formed an investigation committee into the alleged encounter case that took place under Koyalibera police station in Kanker district. In this investigation team, former MLA Shishupal Sori has been made the coordinator and 6 leaders have been made members. The members of the investigation committee will visit the affected villages and discuss with the local villagers including the victims’ families and after getting aware of the actual situation of the incident, they will submit their report to the State Congress Committee.

Let us tell you that Kanker Police had claimed that on February 25, there was an encounter with soldiers and Naxal Company No. 5 in village Bhomra, Hurtarai, Michhebeda and its surrounding areas under Koylibeda police station area. In which dead bodies of 3 alleged Naxalites have been recovered during the search. Villagers and family members have raised questions on this police story and have accused them of killing three people in a fake encounter.

After the allegations of the villagers, now Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Deepak Baij has formed a seven-member inquiry committee under the leadership of former MLA Shishupal Sori. In which former MLA Santram Netam, former MLA Shankarlal Dhruva, Biresh Thakur, Naresh Thakur, Roopsingh Potai and District Congress Committee President Subhadra Salam have been included.
