Raipur. The CBI has raided the office in the capital of Central GST. CBI’s action is currently on. According to the news quoting sources, the CBI is investigating the documents.

A few days ago, two officers of the Central Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department were suspended after alleging allegations of raising Rs 7 lakh from two traders of Chhattisgarh in the name of irregularities in GST. At that time, the complaint of this case reached the state Finance Minister OP Chaudhary, who recommended action on the basis of preliminary investigation.

The suspended officials included Superintendent Pallava Pargania and Ashish Pathak posted in Chhattisgarh. It was told that the officials were forcibly charging money from local traders. The complaint of his misconduct was also brought to the attention of Finance Minister OP Chaudhary. He sent the complaint to the headquarters in Delhi and recommended investigation and appropriate action.

Central officials took the matter seriously and started an immediate investigation. The investigation confirmed the allegations against Superintendent Pallava Pargania and Ashish Pathak, after which they were suspended with immediate effect.

In view of this action, the Central GST department intensified the investigation of officers posted in Chhattisgarh. Both officers had been working in the state for a long time. Although such complaints were reported earlier, but after the intervention of the Finance Minister, he was not taken seriously at the headquarters level.
