    Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The High Court today heard the matter of making the fare of buses transparent in Chhattisgarh. The Advocate General told the court that the letter for reconsideration of fare was accidentally sent to the Law Department. The matter is pending before the Chief Minister. It is to be decided in the cabinet. The next hearing in the case has been fixed on 17 March 2025.

    In fact, the High Court took cognizance of the problems caused by the people being caused by the closure of city buses and the news of rigging in the fare in the name of round figure. The court had directed to put a fare list at the bus stand, to install display boards in buses and rethink the fare. In the hearing on October 15, the state government had told that the matter has been sent to the Law Department. On 8 November, the government clarified that the letter was accidentally sent to the Law Department, while a decision is to be taken in the cabinet. The High Court had ordered a decision to take a decision in four weeks.

    The case was heard in the bench of Chief Justice Ramesh Kumar Sinha and Justice Ravindra Kumar Aggarwal today. The Chief Justice asked about the completion of the prior order. On which Additional Advocate General Yashwant Singh Thakur said that an affidavit has been introduced by the government. Which has some presentations. In compliance with the order of the court, some documents have been brought in this regard, in which it has been said that the decision proposal, the current proposal and the issue is pending before the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, the government. This has stopped due to urban body elections. A decision in the cabinet is to be made in this regard. In this, the office will be informed soon. At the same time, sought time from the High Court, after accepting which the state government has been given two weeks.
