Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai participated in the Cartoon Festival-2025 held at a private hotel in Raipur, organized by the Cartoon Watch magazine. He emphasized that cartoons are not just a form of entertainment but a societal mirror, using humor and satire to present important issues in a relatable way. Mr. Sai believes that cartoons are an art form that entertains while also educating the public and encouraging them to think critically. During the event, the Chief Minister awarded the Cartoon Watch magazine’s Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr. Manoj Chopra, a well-known cartoonist from Jammu and Kashmir. He also took the time to create his own cartoon, showing his appreciation for the art form. Addressing the Cartoon Watch Festival, Mr. Sai expressed his admiration for the magazine’s 29-year journey and its entry into its 30th year. He congratulated the Cartoon Watch team and urged them to continue their outstanding work in the field of cartoons. He also expressed his wish for the next year’s festival to be held in Bastar, recognizing the growing peace and progress in the region towards becoming Naxalism-free. He further spoke about the government’s efforts in Bastar through the Niyad Nella Nar Yojana, which aims to provide essential services such as roads, electricity, water, and ration cards to over 300 villages. He noted the positive changes in Bastar, highlighting the transition from violence to the establishment of schools.
