Arvind Mishra, Balodabazar. Last night, an elderly man was murdered while sleeping in his house in village Lanja of Simga police station area. The incident has spread sensation in the area. On receiving information about the matter, the police reached the spot, took Panchnama of the dead body and started investigation.
According to the information received, when Shaturahan Joshi (age 65 years) was sleeping in his house, unknown assailants entered the house and attacked him, bleeding him to death, due to which he died on the spot. If sources are to be believed, there was a dispute between the accused and the family members of the deceased regarding money transactions, information about which was also given in Simga police station. But the police did not take the matter seriously and postponed the matter. Meanwhile, an elderly man was murdered, which has created a stir in the police administration.
As soon as information about the incident was received, officials including Simga police station in-charge and the forensic team reached the spot and started investigation. In the case, the police have detained a suspicious youth, whose interrogation is ongoing.
