A devastating accident in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, claimed the life of 11-year-old Ali. The tragedy unfolded near the Kelora crossing when Ali, a passenger in a wedding bus, leaned out of a window and was struck by a pickup truck. The impact severed his head, leaving those present horrified.

The incident happened within the Hathras Junction police station’s area. Ali, from Maksudan Nagar, was with his family attending his cousin’s wedding in Mevali village, Sikandararau. He was seated by the window in the bus. At around 10 a.m., the bus was on the national highway, and Ali, excited, put his head out the window. A speeding Tata Magic pickup truck then collided with him. The collision was so violent that Ali’s head was detached and fell onto the road, while his body remained on the seat.

The incident created chaos inside the bus. The driver stopped the vehicle upon hearing a loud noise. He found Ali’s severed head on the road. The sight of the blood-soaked seat and the boy’s torso caused great distress for his family. According to Shahabuddin, who was present, Ali was by the window when a loud noise occurred. His head was gone, and the seat was drenched in blood. The Hathras Junction police arrived on the scene. The body was recovered and sent for a post-mortem. The police have seized the pickup and are questioning the driver. Speeding and carelessness are believed to be factors.
