Raipur. The budget of Chhattisgarh will be presented on Monday. The state government’s cabinet meeting was held on Sunday before the budget was presented. Many important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting. In this cabinet meeting, it has been decided to abolish the 9.5 percent additional fee on foreign liquor. Removing this fee is expected to reduce the retail rates of foreign liquor of various range to about 40 to 3000 rupees per bottle.
Old excise policy will be implemented
Today, in the meeting of Sai Cabinet, it was decided that the excise policy of 2025-26 will be similar to 2024-25. In the upcoming financial year, 674 liquor shops will be operated and premium liquor shops will also be opened as required. At the same time, supply of indigenous liquor will be effective. Wholesale purchases and distribution of foreign liquor will be done by Chhattisgarh State Beverages Corporation Limited. Also, the infrastructure development fee applied to the liquor will be applicable as before.
Smuggling will be banned
