    Virendra Gehwai, Bilaspur. Police raided a hotel in Bilaspur and caught 11 influential people red handed gambling. Action has also been taken against the hotel manager. Rs 3.50 lakh in cash has been seized from the gamblers. The police is taking action against the accused under the Gambling Act.

    According to the information, Civil Lines Police received information from an informer on Sunday night that influential people were placing bets on 52 fairs in room number 405 of Hotel East Park. After which the police team reached Hotel East Park, where gambling was being done using roped plastic coins (tokens). Police raided the hotel and arrested 11 people. Rs 3 lakh 50 thousand 300, a deck of cards and 350 pieces of plastic coins were seized from the spot.
