Jagdapur, Chhattisgarh – Under the state’s rehabilitation policy, former insurgents who have laid down arms are now being linked to formal education as well as skill‑training programmes. In the Bastar division, six ex‑Naxal members have successfully cleared the Class‑10 board examinations through open schools. Three of them are former surrenderers from Bastar district who completed the exam after re‑entering mainstream society. The government’s approach combines vocational coaching with a strong push for completing unfinished schooling, giving these individuals a pathway to sustainable livelihoods.
