    New Delhi, August 01, 2025/ Today, an important initiative was taken to give new heights to Chhattisgarh in the field of sports and health education. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai had a courtesy meeting with Union Minister of Labor and Employment, Youth Affairs and Sports Shri Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi. During this, it was agreed to organize the Bastar Olympics as “Khelo India Tribal Games” from this year. This decision will not only give recognition to the talent of tribal youth at the national level, but will also give prestige to the traditional sports culture of Chhattisgarh on the global stage.

    Chief Minister Shri Sai also presented a proposal to open 220-bed medical and nursing colleges in Raipur and Bilaspur to the Union Minister, which will provide the state with quality health education along with better medical facilities. On this, Union Minister Shri Mandaviya said that the Central Government will soon take a positive decision on this proposal and start the process of necessary approval.

    Along with this, the Chief Minister also demanded the establishment of a regional center of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE) in Chhattisgarh and the establishment of new stadiums and training centers to strengthen the sports infrastructure in the state. The Union Minister also assured to give approval on these subjects soon.

    On this occasion, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Subodh Singh and Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri Rahul Bhagat were also present.
